About Dogs Gone Raw
My name is Jeff Cormier, the owner of Dogs Gone Raw, “DGR.” Dogs Gone Raw is the distributor of Albright’s Raw pet food. The primary reason we partner with Albright is the fact that they source from humanely raised human grade foods that are complete naturally without the use of vitamin packs, supplements, and preservatives of any kind. All products are frozen and the complete recipes are balanced, so you will not need to worry about supplementing or wondering if your puppy is getting the best available complete diet.
Our Work With Kennels
We have been working with kennel owners to support their litters as they transition from mother’s milk to solid food. As such, DGR has been providing your puppy with the best diet over the last few weeks and will support you as you transition home. This is specifically designed to support the needs of a growing dog. How the Puppy Formula is Shipped
Your first two shipments from us will each include a 36 lb case of our puppy mix formula, for a total of two cases shipped to you as part of our partnership with your breeder. Each case will be delivered right to your doorstep. The first case will arrive a day or two before you pick up your puppy, and the second roughly two weeks after. The initial cost, including delivery, for the specifically formulated Puppy mix is $215/case. Subsequent orders/deliveries may have options for reduced pricing, depending on your location and delivery needs.
The food is boxed and frozen and should remain frozen until ready to feed. The fastest way to thaw out the food is to submerge the entire tube in a bowl of warm water for roughly 30 minutes, remove, cut open the bag, and squeeze the contents into the dog dish. The amount of food you are feeding your dog should be roughly 3% of their projected adult body weight. Divide this amount over three feedings per day for your puppy–do not feed this all at once, your pup is too small to take in so much at one time. Here is an example of how to compute the appropriate amount to feed your puppy: if the dog projects to be 100 pounds, then we would recommend roughly 3lbs per day, so 1 lb three times a day.) What to do now?
Send along an email with your name, address, puppy’s name, Kennel, and the date you will pick up your puppy. By letting us know this, we can determine what date you would like the first delivery to arrive. (We will need 1 week’s notice)
