PUPPY ITEMS NEEDED
Well, we do need some things before you come to pick us up from my Breeder. Here is a great list that we recommended:
(Most of these items you can purchase at our local Pet store in Sudbury called Especially for pets.)
Crates: 42" crate for males or females
48" crate for males over 75 lbs
I like the Midwest metal crates with double doors
Make sure to get dividers for
growing pups. You can also get
these crates with triple doors for easy use in cars.
X-Pens: 48" high with door in silver or gold.
( I would buy extra heavy duty clips from
hardware store for added strength)
rubber flooring:
(I highly recommend you purchase this rubber flooring. You can cut rubber easily with scissors and make it the size you need for area where puppy will be in xpen and crate area. Keeps your floors protected, rugs protected and great traction for your puppy's needs.
For litter box training I use the following products up until the pup is 16 weeks old
Tractor Supply sells the rabbit tray and the horse pellets for litter box training.
here are the links to pellets I buy from Tractor Supply and the rabbit tray to put them in.
Horse pellets for litter box training:
Grooming tools: bristle brush medium to soft
7" medium/fine comb, rake and /or
deshedding comb.

One inside to keep puppy safe when you can’t
watch

I also recommend making your own treat with a dehydrator that you can purchase at Target or Wal mart.
You can hydrate vegetables, meat and fruit.
Safety and
Identification:
I prefer the halter collar now instead of neck collar.
Less damage is done to their soft necks with a halter collar. Make sure to get halter that does not restrict their front legs and shoulders. Should fall between front of chest and under rib cage.
Check out this product I love:

see image below
https://www.chewy.com/hdp-big-dog-no-pull-dog-harness-black/dp/148109
do not purchase halters the comes across puppies front legs and restricts growth and movement. Very Bad! Halter should go between front chest between front legs and under to belly.
See picture below
I also recommend the halter from DoggyKingdom
Use a lead that has a small clip on end. Do not start with an adult lead for the clip is too heavy for a little puppy. You can then graduate to a 6 foot leather lead which will be recommended at future obedience classes.
I prefer you puppy name and contact info imprinted on halter or collar then tags. Most tags get caught in things which can be very dangerous for your pet. At 6 months I recommend you get your puppy microchipped at your vets.
make sure to register the chip. You can put me as your second contact person with my phone number 603-293-6938. If you move please call recovery company to give change of contact information.
Training and
Development: Puppy preschool and Puppy Kindergarden.
This is a must for every puppy. Start training at home. Don’t stop there. Continue classes. The more you train the better the outcome of a well behave puppy/dog.
