UNDERSTANDING CANCER IN GOLDENS

I have created this page for all who have questions about Cancer in Goldens.  Unfortunately, Goldens average life span has dropped to 10 years of life.  There are many people who want to change that either by breeders, scientific studies, cancer research studies, vets, owners and others who have given so much to the Golden Breed.  I too am trying to help the Golden breed because I lost my first Golden to Cancer at age 8.  It was devastating and it changed my life and how I raise my Goldens today.  We as owners of Goldens have to be the advocate to our dogs.  We want the very best for them and that means taking the time to read what is best for our pets.  Please see attached article which will help you understand the Cancer issues in Goldens.  Its not just what breeders are doing.  It is much more.  We have to change what we have been brained washed to believe was good for our guldens for so many years.  Hopefully, you will see that change in how we raise our Goldens will make a difference in our dogs lives.
